Is Root Canal Treatment Painful?

Frequently Asked Questions 30

01

What topics does the blog cover?

How treatments work, oral hygiene, children's dental health, what to do in an emergency, the care of dentures and implants, and patients' rights. The articles are written to give you information that helps you decide, not as advertising.
02

Who writes the articles?

The content is prepared in line with the views of the clinic's dentists and is reviewed for medical accuracy before publication. The aim is information that is consistent with current dental practice, free of exaggeration and verifiable.
03

Do the articles replace an examination?

No. The articles are for general information. The same symptom can have different causes, and which treatment is needed can only be determined after an intraoral examination and imaging. If you have a complaint, see a dentist rather than waiting on the basis of an article.
04

Why is there no price information in the articles?

Publishing prices for health services is restricted by regulation. The scope of the same treatment also varies from person to person; a figure given without an examination would be misleading. The treatment plan and cost information are given to you individually and in writing after an examination.
05

How often are new articles added?

New articles are added at regular intervals and existing ones are updated as practice changes. The article list is paginated, with the most recent on the first page. The sitemap records the last modification date of every article.
06

How do I find the topic I am looking for?

Articles are listed by date with 15 on each page. If your topic relates to a particular treatment, going straight to that treatment's page is faster; its FAQ section already answers most questions. Your browser's in-page search also helps.
07

Are the articles available in English?

Yes — every article has an English counterpart and you can switch with the language selector at the top of the page. The English version is not a translation but the same content written in English.
08

Can I have the treatment described in the articles at your clinic?

All the treatments described in the articles are provided at the clinic. Each article links to the relevant treatment page, where you can read how the procedure is done, how many visits it takes and what recovery is like, and request an appointment.
09

What if an article does not match my own situation?

Articles describe general patterns; your own situation may differ, and that is normal. The medicines you take, chronic conditions, the structure of your mouth and previous treatments all change the picture. Rather than assessing yourself against an article, have an examination.
10

Are sources cited in the articles?

The content is based on current dental practice. If you would like sources or further detail on a particular topic, you can ask through our contact channels. Definitive, individual information always requires an examination.
11

I have an emergency — can the blog help?

The emergency articles explain first aid: pressure for bleeding, cold applied from outside for swelling, keeping the fragment of a broken tooth. These buy time but do not treat the problem. If there is spreading facial swelling, difficulty swallowing or breathing, or a high fever, do not wait — go to the nearest emergency department.
12

May I share the articles?

You are free to share the link and we are glad if you do. Copying the text and republishing it elsewhere, however, infringes copyright. If you quote from an article, citing the site address as the source is enough.
13

Can I request an article on a particular topic?

You can. Simply send the topic through our contact channels. Questions from patients are the best source of new articles, because they show what people genuinely want to know.
14

How long are the articles?

The articles are long enough to explain the topic properly; rather than a superficial summary, they set out how the process actually works. Longer articles carry subheadings so you can go straight to the part you need.
15

Are the articles up to date?

The articles are reviewed as practice changes and updated where necessary. The sitemap records the last modification date of every page. Articles containing outdated or no longer valid information are not left on the site.
16

Do you have articles on children's dental health?

Yes. Topics include when the first examination should take place, why decay in baby teeth must be treated, how thumb-sucking and dummy habits affect tooth alignment, and how to reduce a child's fear of the dentist.
17

Are there articles on implant and denture care?

Yes. How to clean around an implant, how to prevent peri-implantitis, why oral fungal infection develops in denture wearers and how the adaptation period in the first days of a full denture goes are each covered in separate articles.
18

Do I need to register to read the articles?

No. All articles can be read without registration, free of charge and without advertising. Personal details are needed only when you request an appointment.
19

Can I use the medicines named in the articles myself?

No. Medicines and active substances named in the articles are mentioned for information; taking medication without a dentist's or doctor's advice is harmful. Unnecessary use of antibiotics and painkillers in particular masks the problem and creates other risks.
20

If the pain has gone, should I still see a dentist?

Yes. Pain stopping does not mean the problem has ended; the tooth's nerve dying completely also stops the pain, and infection then progresses silently. A tooth whose pain has settled but which is never checked can develop a cyst or abscess. Our articles cover this in detail.
21

Where do the links at the end of the articles lead?

To the pages of the treatments mentioned, to the emergency dental page and to relevant area pages. Links are limited to those directly related to the topic; there are not so many that they interrupt reading.
22

Can I try a procedure described in an article at home?

Advice about oral hygiene is meant for home: brushing technique, using floss, cleaning dentures. No procedure that amounts to treatment should be attempted at home, however. Home whitening and tooth-straightening methods circulating online can cause permanent damage.
23

Can I receive the articles by email?

There is currently no regular newsletter. You can visit the blog page to see new articles. If you would like to be informed about a particular topic, simply write to us through our contact channels.
24

Are patient stories shared in the articles?

No identifiable patient stories are shared. The situations described are general presentations frequently seen in clinical practice. Images are published only with the patient's written consent and only within the scope of that consent.
25

I found an error in an article — how do I report it?

Simply write to us through our contact channels; saying which article and which sentence speeds up the review. Every reported error is checked and, if correct, the article is updated. Feedback of this kind is valuable in keeping the content accurate.
26

Are the articles generated by artificial intelligence?

The content is prepared in line with the views of the clinic's dentists and reviewed for medical accuracy before publication. Whatever tool is used to write it, what matters is that the information is consistent with clinical practice and verifiable.
27

Why are the blog pages numbered?

As the number of articles grew, listing them on a single page slowed loading and made it harder to find what you wanted. There are now 15 articles per page, and the numbers at the foot let you move between pages. Each page has its own address and can be bookmarked.
28

What should I do if I want an appointment after reading?

Contact options appear within each article and at the foot of the page. You can reach us by telephone, on WhatsApp or through the appointment form. If you mention which article you read, the conversation starts directly from your question.
29

Are the treatment durations given in the articles definite?

These are typical ranges, not firm commitments. The actual duration depends on the condition of the tooth, how quickly you heal, how long the laboratory stage takes and whether additional procedures are needed. A schedule specific to you is given after an examination.
30

Are there sources of information besides the blog?

Yes. Every treatment page explains in detail how the procedure is carried out and carries frequently asked questions specific to that treatment. The emergency pages cover first aid, and the area pages explain access and appointment arrangements. These pages go into more detail than the blog.
