Are you really open on Sunday?

Yes, we are open seven days a week, Sunday included. Saturday is a full working day rather than a half day, and Sunday hours are the same as any other day. There is no rotating duty system, so you do not need to check whether it is our turn.

Do I need an appointment at the weekend?

Not for an emergency — you are seen without one. For planned treatment, booking shortens your wait and guarantees the time set aside for you, which matters particularly at weekends when several people often want the same hours. Telling us what the treatment involves lets us allocate a long enough slot.

Are weekend fees different?

There is no separate weekend tariff. Charges depend on the procedure carried out and are set out clearly after the examination, before treatment begins. Health regulations do not permit a price list to be published on the site, and a figure given without an examination would in any case be misleading.

Is implant surgery performed on Saturday?

Yes, it can be. For longer surgical procedures we prefer an earlier slot in the day, so that the first hours after the operation — when bleeding needs to be watched and the first instructions matter most — pass while you can still reach us easily and return if anything is unexpected.

Can I book a weekend appointment for my child?

Yes, and we recommend it. At the weekend children arrive without the tiredness of a school day and parents are not watching the clock, which makes a real difference for a child who is anxious about the dentist. A calm first visit shapes how every later appointment goes.

Is X-ray available at weekends?

Yes. Our panoramic radiography unit is available every day of the week, weekends included, and at any hour. This matters because most emergency decisions cannot be made from an examination alone — the radiograph is what shows whether the problem is decay, infection at the root tip or a fracture.

Are the same procedures available at weekends?

Yes — examination, radiographs, fillings, root canals, scaling and surgery are all available. Laboratory-dependent prosthetic work is scheduled around weekday turnaround.

Do I need to call ahead for a weekend appointment?

Walk-ins are accepted in emergencies, but calling ahead for planned work lets us allocate enough time and combine procedures.

Local anaesthetic never seems to work on me, why might that be?

There are several explanations. Inflamed tissue is more acidic, which reduces the effect of the anaesthetic, so numbing is harder during an acute abscess. Nerve anatomy varies between people and an additional technique may be needed. High anxiety also increases pain perception. Tell your dentist about past experiences; a different injection technique, an extra dose or controlling infection first usually solves it.

Other children have their front teeth but my child's has not come through, should we wait?

Eruption timing varies between children, but if the matching tooth on the other side came through months ago and this one has not, it should be assessed. Causes include an extra tooth bud, an obstruction after early trauma, lack of space or an abnormal position. A simple radiograph usually shows why. Problems found early are generally easier to resolve.
